Where to stay with that Colombian Hottie

Hotels and Apartments:

Almost all the usual ones have been reviewed by others but the Hilton in LaGuito is the most upscale and the girls really love the added comforts and luxury.

while Las Velas, in LaGuito, is a mid range hotel where many like to stay and play.

The views from the upper floor balconies are excellent of the beaches (15th floor or above-odd numbers) and the girls love dipping in the pool after a day at the beach.

Of course, the Hotel Carribe is the Grand Dame of old Ctg. Hotels.

You will see a lot of families here and you may get looks from security if you bring in too many different girls. Unless you register as a double room, they will charge you as much as 100K for your guest to register (pretty good deterrent). They do offer rooms on SkyAuction and I have seen rooms go for $32 per night here (seasonally). If you have one special girl or prefer the frequent company of only one or two girls during your stay, this might be a good alternative.

(For reference purposes, Boca Grande and LaGuito lie west of Centro and the OldCity. There is a 2 way beach road, Cra.1, a one way "in" 4 lane road Cra.2 (seen above in front of Hotel Caribe) and a one way "out" 4 lane road Cra. 3. There are many hotels along both roads although the closer to the beach, the taller and more expensive. The small hotels along Cra. 3 can be very accommodating to the budget minded traveler.)

Apts.

I frequently use Juan Ventura (ittscol@hotmail.com 001-575-363-7974 to find an Apt.. BTW, Juan is always absolutely fantastic, speaks very good English and very helpful. Although you may pay a slight premium for his services, I found him to be very honest, fair and helpful with local information. He can provide local cell phones at very reasonable rates. He is from Spain, not Colombia and so is his cultural basis. By the way, he pronounces the J in his first name. Tell him Sandman referred you and he will treat you well. Most come available with maid service on a daily or as needed basis for around $15KCP per day (less than $7.50). Some even have washing machines and can do your laundry.

You can find just about any kind of Apartment to fit your needs and budget in CTG. There are a number of $20-$25 per night places or you can spend up to $150-200 per night on some grand penthouses. Expect to pay in the $65-$85 per night for a typical 2 Br Apt. (in low season)
