Sao Paulo

Intro

Sao Paolo is a bustling metropolis filled with enough sites, sounds and action to keep any traveler aroused. Sao Paulo is considered the New York City of South America. With a population of 17,755,000, Sao Paolo is to be the third largest metropolitan city in the world. It is the wealthiest and most important commercial center in the southern hemisphere. The people work hard during the week and play even harder on the weekends. Much like any big city, Sao Paolo doesn't shut down at night. Actually, after the sun sets, things are just getting started.

History

São Paulo became one of the world’s major coffee producers during the early 19th century. By 1895, 70,000 of the city's 130,000 residents were immigrants. Their efforts transformed Sao Paulo from a sleepy Jesuit mission post into a dynamic financial and cultural hub. Many immigrants from around the world came to Sao Paolo to pursue a better life. The combination of industry, culture and technology helped create one of the most dynamic cities in the world.

Paulistanos

Paulistanos are the inhabitants of one of the world’s most exciting cities. Sao Paulo is well known for its cultural diversity. It houses the biggest Italian population outside of Italy and has more Japanese people than anywhere other than Japan. Sao Paolo is truly a melting pot. Just like Rio, the women are stunningly beautiful ranging from dark, exotic stunners to tall fair knockouts that will definitely get your engines running.

Exotic Nightlife

Sao Paulo has to offer a lot for the single male traveler. Just as in Rio there are various clubs that offer some of the hottest women and wildest experiences money can buy. Prostitution is openly accepted in Brazil so there are no rules or regulations against the thriving sex industry. It makes your trip to Sao Paolo much more exciting because you don’t have to worry about being harassed by police or fear any repercussions of a wild liaison with a hot young garota. The scene in Sao Paulo differs from that of Rio in that most of the places with the 7s and higher are very upscale establishments where it costs R 500 and up for the night. The price is often worth it as these women are flat out gorgeous.

Weather

In winter (June and July), days tend to be sunny and dry, though nights can be chilly so be sure to bring a sweater or jacket. In summer, take lightweight clothes made from natural fibers. The heat is stifling in summer and during the afternoons expect a few tropical downpours.

Eateries

Being the unrivaled center for gastronomy in Brazil it would be virtually impossible not to talk about São Paulo's fine dining. You can expect both great service and tasty dishes in this city, which truly takes pride in its international cuisine. If you want the true Sao Paolo experience, you must go to one of the many Churrascarrias. They are an all you can eat buffet. The menu is extensive with just about every culinary delight imaginable. You can choose from 30-40 different salads, seafood such as; shrimp, lobster, salmon, sushi and so much more. When you are ready for your main course, the waiters bring skewers of different kinds of meats including beef, pork, chicken and sausages all for you to pick from. The entire meal can cost anywhere from US $10 to US $14. Great deal for a seriously awesome meal!!!! For a complete listing of some of the “Best” restaurants in Sao Paulo, join now!

Plan to come during holiday weekends or the vacation seasons of January or July will also allow you to avoid the congestion of the city. October is also a great month to visit.
There are three main areas you should consider: Paulista Avenue (Jardins), Downtown (which is the old downtown Sao Paulo) and Berrini/Brooklyn. If you are not sure where to stay join now for a list of hotels in order of quality:

Shopping, site-seeing

Sao Paolo is one of the trendiest cities in Brazil. You will spot some seriously fashion forward locales on the streets of Sao Paolo so try and bring some of your best game unless you want to stand out as a typical tourist.
