Intro
Recife is the Portuguese word for “reef”. It is a coastal city with a population of 1.2 million people in the state of Pernambuco. It lies on the Golden Coast of northeastern Brazil. Recife is in about 1200 miles North of Rio ( Brazilís fourth largest city) and so forth has warm weather all the time. It was founded by the Portuguese in the 1530s and later taken over by the Dutch -- it is the largest city in the northeast of brazil. Recife was controlled by the Dutch in the 16th century again (back and forth, they burned it down each time they took control) after taken it back from Portugal. It has a nice mix of people (lots of Indian blood, but not as attractive as the cariocas of Rio). It’s primary claim to fame (for tourists) is the five miles of sea-front with natural pools formed by the off-shore reefs. The sand is perfect and the water is warm. This area is called Boa Viagem and is were most tourists stay (tons of hotels and apt buildings) and of course the night life. Sept-March is the dry season and is also off-season (rates drop 50%). Summer (when Europeans are off and of course Nov-Feb are hi-season). A few miles North of Boa Viagem is the main city called Centro de Recife and is diced in a multitude of bridges and canals. There are three main areas to the Centro, but for us the Old Recife is where there are new restaurants, bars and week-end parties. Here are the baroque churches and Portuguese and Dutch forts and the Cidade Velho does make a great escape from the daily beach life of Boa Viagem.
Well known for its great beaches and laid back atmoshpere, Recfie’s
definitely a must see and a much welcome break from the hustle and bustle of Rio
and Sao Paulo. This beach town boasts some beautiful coastline alongside a
fairly metropolitan city.
The People
Most of the women here are of European ancestry, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch and
German amongst others. In Pernambuco girls seem to be a bit taller and bigger breasted than in other cities. Most are a bit darker skinned (morena), do not expect to find many blonde working girls If the beautiful blonde with an

The price was 100 R for a hour of massage and sex and I convinced the mamasan (or whatever they are called here) a special -- two for 140.00. As you can imagine, double the pleasure :-). Street Scene
The street scene here is a thousand times safer than that of its larger
counterparts in Rio and Sao Paulo. The Avenida Conselheiro Aguiar is parallel to the Boa Viagem beach. At night until dawn it is full of prostitutes. Every second street corner has a group of 5-10 girls, some of them very attractive. Asking price R$50.- (US$ 45).
